Props
The Ballet Bag
I have decided to use a ballet bag to show the audience that the ballet dancer is extremely serious about being successful, she has worked her whole life to be as good as she is. To her ballet dancing is her life so this needs to be obvious in the mise-en-scene.
The Clothing Rail
a typical dressing room prop, a clothing rail is essential to make the dressing room as realistic as possible, as this shows costume change, in perhaps, a serious ballet show the girl has taken part in or currently doing. It shows the audience that she is successful in what she does.
The Shirt
Clothing is very personal for someone. You go out and choose it, buy it and wear it all the time. For someone else to be trying on your clothing without you knowing that they are doing it or even without you really knowing the person is beyond strange. when the ballet dancer see's the girl trying on her t-shirt in the dressing room is the key scene when she realizes there is something sinister about this girl.
The Photograph
The girl accumulates this photograph of the ballet dancer after it falls out of her bag when the girl knocks into the ballet dancer in school. The photograph is used to symbolize the girls obsession with the ballet dancer therefor is a key prop in my music video as the girl carries the photograph with her everywhere and eventually puts it up on her wall.
The Mirror
The mirror will be in my closing scene in the dressing room. It will be mostly used for reflection shots to create a bit of tension.

Locations
Stealing of the photograph scene
Here is the location for my 'stealing of the photograph scene'. I decided to have it in a school based environment as this is the most likely place two 18 year old girls, who are from different friendship groups, would most likely each other at the same time. It is a big open space so there would be no need to have any extra lighting involved in this scene. There is no permission needed for access to this area as it is a public space for all that attend the school. The best times to film here would be after school hours as there would be not many people around to disrupt the production.

My Ballet Dancer - Hair, Make up & Costume
My ballet dancer.
The costume for my ballet dancer will consist of the traditional attire of a typical ballet dancer, including tutu, leotard and point work ballet shoes. I would like her to look as professional as possible as this will give the audience the idea that ballet is something she has worked on her entire life. Her hair will be in a slicked back bun at the crown of her head as this again is typically associated with ballet dancers. Her make up will be as minimalistic as possible with maybe only a bit of mascara on her eyelashes. This look will be mainly used during the dance & dressing room scenes.
The cardigan will be worn during any other scenes involving my ballet dancer just to keep the persona of ballet around that character.

Charlotte Heaps as The 'Girl' & Permission letter
The Actress
The Character
The Envious Girl - Hair, Make up & Costume
The Envious Girl.
As this girl is just an amateur in Ballet, not even that, I would like her to look as unsophisticated as possible as ballet dancers are usually graceful and sophisticated, I want her to be the opposite. I decided to have her wearing simple black leggings and white vest, making it seem as though she has made no effort. She will have bare feet to show the audience that the only shoes she owns are not suitable for exercise therefor showing us that she is an amateur. this outfit will mainly be used in dance scenes and dance practice scenes.
The hoodie will be worn in any other scenes this girl is on to show that she does not think very highly of herself as she is trying to hide her body. I want low self esteem and self loathing to be shown through her outfits.
Throughout the entire music video, the girls hair will be worn in a messy bun to the back of her heard, yet again to show she has made no effort to look good.
